Jan represented California and was a finalist in the week-long national competition held at the Saxe Theatre on the strip in Las Vegas in mid-June.

Jan Fowler is an award-winning columnist on senior living, author of four books, and a frequent program speaker.
The Southern Calif. Motion Picture Council honored Jan with “The Golden Halo Award for Outstanding Literary Achievement.”
Jan was also the winner of the First Place Excellence in Journalism Award in Southern California by the Society of Professional journalists.
She is a contributing author to “Savvy Women Revving Up for Success” and was one of ten Inland Empire women to receive the Town & Gown “Phenomenal Woman Award” in recognition for her contributions to the arts and community service.
Jan was honored twice with the “Woman of Achievement Award” from the National League of American Pen Women, of which she is president.
She is the founder of Starburst Inspirations, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit corporation which supports Drug Court.
Jan’s mission is to improve quality of life for people of all ages and from all walks of life.
She was the former producer-host of “Senior Living at its Best with Jan Fowler” radio and television shows, which broadcast to 12 million people throughout the Inland Empire and Orange County, for which she was nominated for the Encore Purpose Prize Award.
After retiring as a licensed speech pathologist, Jan became the voice of today’s senior and a champion of senior causes.
She is an author and frequent speaker on the topic of love and romance in later life and is often referred to as The Love Lady”.
Jan’s newest book, “Hot Chocolate for Senior Romance ~ How Sweet It Is! How, when, and where couples found love in later life was inspired by the desire to help stamp out loneliness and its debilitating physical, mental, and emotional effects upon seniors.
Jan was recently crowned Ms. Super Senior California USA in recognition of her achievements. In mid-June of this year, Jan was a finalist in national pageant competition with representatives of other states.
