In 2002, Jan founded Starburst Inspirations, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which supports Redlands Drug Court. Monetary proceeds from fund-raising events–plus stylish used clothing–have been donated to participants going through drug and alcohol rehabilitation, many of whom are trying to regain custody of children taken from them and placed in foster care.
Starburst Inspirations was recently expanded to promote quality of life and living at its best for people of all ages and from all walks of life
Jan Fowler and Starburst inspirations also sponsor a celebration breakfast for all the graduates of the local Treatment Court on the morning of their graduation ceremony.
Jan is a graduate of Emerson College (Boston), also the alma mater of such luminaries as Jay Leno and Henry Winkler. She is a trophy-winner as a community theatre actress.
Jan’s interests include ballroom dancing, gardening, traveling, live theatre, and picnics in the park. She has five grandchildren and lives in Southern California.
